wow, ive salvaged mods off tormented items at least 6-8 times without them breaking.

i was lead to believe that the quote "This item cannot be salvaged for materials and cannot be sold to a merchant" from wiki meant that they couldnt be destroyed when salvaging.

guess i was lucky then

Seems Like that chance has finally arrived

Anyways This looks dumb salvaging a 400k weapon, hell I'd rather overput another mod than risking destruction, sorry but that was kinda dumb man. It's like salvaging fow armor :/

Hm, I did not know that. I suggest ANet could make it more clear with a warning message as you try to salvage) that the Tormented also can be broken.

But I would not have tried it anyways. These items are way too expensive to take any risk.

Once its salvaged and breaks its gone forever. Tormented items break the same as any other. And I highly doubt ANET will change that as 99.9% of the community wouldnt try to salvage mods off such an expensive item.
I will not try salvaging armour off of my 15k armours, especially my two sets of Vabbian. So what if it has a radiant insignia on it? The armour cost several times what a radiant costs.

Person A: hmmz I dont want to use my radiant insignia anymore, so imma gonna salvage it, rite
Person B: But why? You do realise your FoW armor is way more expenssive then that?
Person A: Ya i know, but radiant is 500 gp, i dont wanna let it go
* person A salvages piece of his FoW armor and it breaks *
Person A: OH NOESS STUPID ANET, #$&^%& MOTHER%&%^$&
Person B: Enjoy your insginia, wise ass.

Sorry man, but you got owned by the basic rules of salvaging. Think twice the next time you want to salvage something.

I salvaged my guided by fait inscription from my req8 gold cry sword then the swored =/-*/0*=/-*0/-*=)/(/%/^+%^anet

I would say you fool you really deserved

But the point is on tormented weapons there is a problem that some people understand it never NEVER brokes

I had once a 29% chance of losing my 15k armor while salvaging a superior vigor. Well i lost it but i'd say that was a reasonable risk to take.

i would like to know what kind of material would come out of a tormented weapon. something like the crystal shards (diamonds) out of a crystalline sword

I've never had a torment item, but does the salvage screen not come up with them?? because it clearly states that item has a chance of breaking.

If it still does how can anyone be in doubt that it can never break?
